Otodus Megalodon is an extinct species regarded as one of the largest and most powerful sea predators in vertebrate history, this apex predator lived approximately 23 to 2.6 million years ago, during the Cenozoic Era. Fossil remains suggest that this giant creature reached a length of 18 metres (59 ft), making the Megalodon nearly 3 times as long, and 20 times and heavy as modern day Great Whites, certainly a force to be reckoned with.
